Coaches CPD
Please note earlier start time below. This session is to be held entirely indoors.
Hello everyone, I hope you are all well and ready for our next coaching workshop. Firstly the Wolves legend, Mick Matthews, provided an excellent and innovative way of delivering a coaching session based on set pieces – attacking and defending on Monday 12 March 2018. He motivated and spurred on the exceptional Wednesday Academy players to deliver a quality coaching session. A big thank you to Mick, The Owls Academy players and their Lead Phase Coach, Kevin Fogg.
Our next guest coaches have come highly recommended by their Academy Manager, Gareth Prosser. Gareth delivered a session for us a few years ago but was very respectful what Sheffield & Hallamshire Football Coaches Association does for local Grass Roots and Academy coaching in South Yorkshire. Gareth was so impressed he wanted to support our association and recommended that a couple of his Wolves Academy Coaches deliver a session to continue their links with our aims and objectives.
Our forthcoming coaching workshop will see two coaches from Wolverhampton Wanderers Academy deliver a coaching practice ‘The Wolves Way’. Our guest coaches are:-
Jonathan Hunter-Barrett, who is Head Of Coaching 9-12 years old at Wolverhampton Wanderers Academy.
Marc Campbell, who is Assistant Academy Manager and Head Of Coaching 13-16 years old at Wolverhampton Wanderers Academy.
Jon and Marc will deliver a session based on ‘The Key Principles Of Initiating And Finishing The Attack’
If it’s teaching your players to deal with build up play and better finishing……which helps win matches!! Then why not make an effort to support these coaches, from a Premiership Club in waiting, who are willing to travel to improve our knowledge and coaching ability of their chosen topic.
When: Wednesday 21st March 2018 – 5pm start with indoor presentation followed by practical delivery 5.45/6.00pm indoors
Where: Sheffield United Academy Facility Firshill Crescent Shirecliffe Sheffield S4
Who: Jonathan Hunter-Barrett and Marc Campbell; Wolverhampton Wanderers Academy
